Preparing the Chicken Wings
Start with fresh or thawed chicken wings. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. In a large bowl, toss the wings with your favorite seasoning or marinade—try a simple mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a splash of hot sauce for a zesty flavor.
For extra crunch, lightly coat the wings with a tablespoon of baking powder before seasoning. This step helps achieve that irresistible crispy skin.
Cooking with the Ninja DoubleStack XL
Preheat your Ninja DoubleStack XL Air Fryer by setting it to the Air Fry function at 400°F. Place the seasoned wings evenly in one of the baskets, making sure they are not overcrowded for optimal crispiness. Use the included crisper plate for best results.
Set the timer for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through cooking. For larger batches, use the second basket to cook additional wings simultaneously—thanks to its independent control, you can adjust settings for each basket.
The built-in smart thermometer can be used to check the doneness of the wings, ensuring they are perfectly cooked and juicy inside.
Serving Tips and Variations
Once cooked, let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving. Toss them in your favorite sauce—buffalo, honey garlic, or a tangy BBQ—to enhance flavor. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for a classic summer appetizer.
If you want to add variety, use the roast or bake functions for side dishes like roasted vegetables or cheesy baked potatoes. The versatility of the Ninja Air Fryer makes it easy to prepare a full summer feast in less time.
